I came up with this tea blend intending to sell it at our farmer’s market. In creating it, I had hoped it would be a blend that would be relaxing and calming, something to help me wind down before bed.
One afternoon I had a terrible headache. I don’t get headaches very often and this one was very persistent. I put some peppermint oil on my temples, drank a large glass of water, and laid down under the fan for a nap…all things that usually work to relieve my headaches.
I woke up to more pain and nausea. I called my daughter in and asked her to make me a cup of this tea. She made it a little strong and brought it to me plain without honey. I drank it as quickly as I could.
Within minutes the throbbing was gone.
I thought that it might have only eased up a bit and would probably return when I got up. To my surprise and joy, the headache didn’t return.
While I call this blend “Sweet Dreams Relaxing Tea”, it is really so much more!
